Cuban Futures Trump’s threat to Cuba, Latin America and US relations - London

The Discus Suite, Unite House, London

Monday, 26 June 2017, 7:00pm

Special guest speaker from Cuba
Carlos Alzugaray, former diplomat
plus others including Francisco Dominguez, Middlesex University

Almost three years on from re-establishing diplomatic relations, the US blockade of Cuba continues, Guantánamo Bay remains occupied, and ‘regime change’ programmes have not ended. Right wing forces in the US and Latin America are actively working to isolate Cuba and bring down its government and others in the region. With the added unpredictability of the Trump presidency, solidarity is now more important than ever.

Dr Carlos Alzugaray is a former Cuban diplomat, internationally recognised political analyst and university lecturer. He will be giving an up to date Cuban perspective on the latest developments in Cuba-US relations and the potential threats and opportunities facing the Cuban people today.

Please note that this meeting has been moved from Bolivar Hall and will now be held at
The Discus Suite, Lower ground Floor, Unite the Union,
128 Theobald's Road, London WC1X 8TN, nearest tube station is Holborn.
