Campaign News | Tuesday, 24 June 2014

Join CSC members and supporters, family and friends on a solidarity Walk for Cuba in the beautiful Chess valley in the Buckinghamshire countryside

Don’t miss out on this years wonderful Walk for Cuba in the beautiful Chess valley in the Buckinghamshire countryside. We are expecting around 100 people to join the Walk for Cuba this year and it is sure to be a memorable day of fun and solidarity.

The Walk for Cuba is a short walk of either 3.5 miles or 6 miles, through beautiful woods, beside fields and marshes, across the river, along country lanes taking in some amazing views, over rolling terrain with no steep slopes.

There will be refreshment stops at the historic pubs along the way and some great tea and cakes too. Most walkers are finished by about 2pm so plenty of time to get home for the afternoon.

Everyone is welcome.

Why not get a group of friends to sign up with you and enjoy a wonderful summer’s day out together and support Cuba and the work of CSC at the same time?

Each walker is asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £30 (£5 children) and everyone will receive a special T shirt in support of the campaign for the Miami Five, a bar of delicious Cuban chocolate and badge.

We will celebrate the best fundraisers with special prizes for 10 lucky walkers, plus for the biggest fundraiser: a pair of much sought after tickets to see the Buena Vista Social Club with Omara Portuondo on their Farewell Tour at the Royal Albert Hall, London on 5th April 2015.
