‘Achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals: What can we learn from Cuba and how can international solidarity help’.

 

Two centre study tour travelling to Havana and Pinar del Río and Viñales to examine current educational provision in rural and urban environments and the theme ‘Achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals: What can we learn from Cuba?’

There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss current issues with teachers, students and educational researchers in a variety of different schools and educational establishments.

Plus specialist meetings with Teaching Unions, Federation of Cuban Women and Federation of Students representatives with visits to the inspirational Literacy Museum, detailing Cuba’s highly successful post-revolution literacy drive, and an informal neighbourhood meeting with a local Committee for the Defence of the Revolution.
