Trade Union May Day Study Tour to Cuba. Celebrating 50 Years of Revolution.
Following Cuba Solidarity Campaign’s successful specialist Trade Union May Day Study Tours to Cuba in the past we are delighted to enclose details for a bespoke Study Tour in 2009.
- Special invitation to attend May Day Rally addressed by Raul Castro in Plaza de la Revolución and joined by over 1 million Cuban workers, marking the 50th anniversary of this special day in the Cuban political calendar.
- Strengthen solidarity links with Sister Trade Unions and CTC (Central Organisation of Cuban Trade Unions) in Cuba and provide a series of related professional visits to workplaces, institutions and neighbourhoods to gain a valuable and unique insight into the continuing achievements of the Cuban Revolution and present day Cuban society.
- Examine the challenges facing the revolutionary island as well as the problems caused by the on going illegal US trade blockade of Cuba.
- Meet and discuss current issues with Cuban workers in their workplaces and neighbourhoods.
- Experience the captivating capital city of Havana and vibrant Cuban culture at first hand. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the real revolutionary Cuba away from the usual tourist trail, experience Cuba’s rich and diverse cultural heritage and provide visible solidarity and support to the Cuban people.
